This shooting took place in Las Salinas on the south coast of Ibiza. Platja de ses Salines is named after the salt lakes in the south of Ibiza. The local Catalan name of this beach is Ses Salines. It is famous for its 2000 year-old salt pans where salt is still harvested.
For thousands of years, the production of salt was the most significant industry in Ibiza. The extracted salt has been an important export for the island for centuries. Las Salinas beach is a World Heritage and charged with salty energy that purifies body and soul.
Ses Salines is a protected nature reserve and is known for its soft sands, shallow and crystal clear waters. The beach at Las Salinas is located 10 kilometres away from Ibiza town. The 1.5 kilometres long sandy beach of Las Salinas is simply breathtaking and offers a wide range of sport activities such as pedalos, sailing, stand-up paddle and kayak.
We had great food at the famous Jockey Club restaurant where I tasted the best tuna tartar I ever had in my life. Next year I want to try some food in Beso Beach Ibiza, which is also located directly in front of the sea and las Salinas beach. Platja de ses Salines is famous for hip beach bars with legendary resident DJs playing classic Balearic grooves.
