Approximately 70 per cent of the island is covered with mountains. The translation of the words “Phu” and “Ket” mean “mountain” and “jewel”. Thai Baht is the official currency. Phuket has a total population of 386,605 inhabitants (as of 2015) and Phuket Town over 60,000 inhabitants.

Dubai is famous for luxury shopping and its modern architecture. The skyscraper Burj Khalifa is 830 meters high and is the tallest building in the world. In 1999, one of the tallest and most luxurious hotels in the world, the Burj Al Arab, was opened. The hotel is decorated with approximately 1,790 square meters of 24-carat gold leaves.

Wiesn 2019

Wisst ihr eigentlich, warum die Wiesn, Wiesn genannt wird? Und warum das Oktoberfest Oktoberfest heißt? Das erste Oktoberfest begann am 17. Oktober 1810 mit einem großen Pferderennen zur Feier der Hochzeit von Kronprinz Ludwig und Prinzessin Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen. Gefeiert wurde auf einer zu der Zeit am Stadtrand gelegene Wiese, die im Nachgang nach der Braut zur “Theresienwiese” umbenannt wurde.

Ibiza Shooting – Platja de ses Salines

This shooting took place in Las Salinas on the south coast of Ibiza. Platja de ses Salines is named after the salt lakes in the south of Ibiza. The local Catalan name of this beach is Ses Salines. It is famous for its 2000 year-old salt pans where salt is still harvested.

For thousands of years, the production of salt was the most significant industry in Ibiza. The extracted salt has been an important export for the island for centuries. Las Salinas beach is a World Heritage and charged with salty energy that purifies body and soul.

Over the roofs of Nerja

Nerja is located at the Costa del Sol approximately 50 Kilometers east of Malaga. Directly behind the town you can see the summits of the Sierra de Almijara.

Conil de la Frontera

Today we made a trip to Conil de la Frontera on the Costa de la Luz. The village is located at the Atlantic Ocean between Cadiz and Gibraltar.

Just south of Conil, Cabo Trafalgar rises into the Atlantic Ocean and forms the northwestern pillar of the Strait of Gibraltar.
