Today we made a trip to Conil de la Frontera on the Costa de la Luz. The village is located at the Atlantic Ocean between Cadiz and Gibraltar.
Just south of Conil, Cabo Trafalgar rises into the Atlantic Ocean and forms the northwestern pillar of the Strait of Gibraltar.
The steep coast offers a unique view of the Atlantic Ocean. The rocky coast changes into a beautiful sandy beach.
On the night of 23 to 24 June, around midnight, numerous bonfires are lit on the beaches of Conil. According to the legend, “Juan y Juana” must be burned there.
